Marie graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Legal Studies from Curtin University in 2007, the same year she was awarded the Thomson Legal & Regulatory Limited prize for her excellence in Law (Real Property). Throughout her career, Marie has worked closely with many highly regarded family law barristers and instructed at Trial.
Whilst Marie assists in all areas of family law, she has a keen interest in complex financial disputes, parenting matters and mediations.
Marie’s compassionate nature puts clients at ease. Her job satisfaction comes from helping clients navigate difficult times and seeing them come out the other side happy and able to move forward. She also gets enormous satisfaction helping clients learn how to co-parent in order for children to grow in a loving, non-hostile environment. It gives Marie a boost knowing that someone’s life is better because of her work.
An ideal weekend for Marie is a weekend with no plans at all. She loves to exercise, spend time with family, go to the beach, watch sunsets, enjoy good food and wine, and sometimes, just switch off.
Marie is currently on extended leave.
