Injunctions and Restraining Orders

In certain circumstances, the court can issue orders for the personal protection of a child, a parent of a child, or a person who has an order in relation to the child. The term ‘personal protection’ has a wide meaning and can include orders which are simply designed to enable a party to prevent interference by a former spouse in their day to day life.

The Court can also issue injunctions restraining a person from entering the home, school or workplace of persons who have the protection of the order.
