Kim has been an accredited family law specialist since 2017, having worked in family law since 2006.

Her strong technical knowledge enables her to assist families in planning their futures post-separation. She enjoys the interplay between family law and other areas of law such as property, trusts, commercial and criminal law, and the need to maintain a broad knowledge of these other areas, alongside detailed family law expertise. This motivates Kim’s commitment to continual learning.

Kim balances vigorous representation with maintaining relationships to achieve negotiated settlements benefiting the family. She is a strategic thinker, planning cases with the end goal always in mind. Helping clients finalise relationships with dignity and respect and in a cost-effective manner gives Kim great job satisfaction.

Kim began her legal career in 2004 in the IR/legal department of the Housing Industry Association. While completing her studies, she worked as a paralegal and legal assistant. Kim graduated from Queensland University of Technology with Law and Business degrees in 2008, and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2009.
