Caitlin Phan

Caitlin Phan completed a double degree Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) at Curtin University in 2022 and completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in September 2023.

It was during a university work placement in a family law division of a large firm when Caitlin changed her focus from commercial law to family law, describing it as a ‘no contest’ decision.

Caitlin enjoys family law because it can and does change people’s lives and she believes that it is a privilege to be a part of that process. She finds it rewarding to assist clients achieve a favourable outcome for themselves and their family.

A natural multi-tasker, Caitlin has strong time-management skills and likes efficiency, especially for her clients where she understands that delays can be very emotional. Caitlin is empathetic, sensitive and has a particular interest in the multicultural community. She brings bi-lingual English and Vietnamese skills to the firm.

With a strong sense of community, Caitlin has volunteered at two Vietnamese community schools both as a teacher and as a teaching assistant. She has been actively involved in volunteering and fundraising for a war veteran organisation and women’s multicultural association using her language skills to assist with translations. Caitlin also helps organise events and has led fundraising efforts for natural disasters.

Outside of the office, Caitlin is family-focussed and involved in her local community. She also enjoys reading, overseas travel and learning new languages.
